The ICE™ 5500 Plus from Hypercom is a web-enabled point-of-sale (POS) terminal which delivers innovative features like electronic signature and receipt capture (ERC), in-store promotions and customer loyalty programs. It is smart card compatible and even has a built in PIN pad. It's advanced printer design eliminates paper jams, and prints more than twice as fast as previous generation printers, virtually launching receipts from the printer so customers and cashiers are not waiting for the printer to complete.

The Hypercom ICE 5500 Plus has a large LCD display with touch-screen technology allowing customized advertising and couponing directly to customers at the point of sale. The ICE 5500 FastPOS® modem, at 9600 bps, is among the fastest on the market.
